On December 3, Bob Marx, Co-President of Marx Creative, spoke to the Milwaukee Chapter of the MCA-I on producing effective content for Digital Signage. Using case studies from the company, Bob detailed key attributes of effective communications for in-store, digital signage networks, and out-of-home advertising displays.
"Digital Signage content should not be simply re-purposed television commercials or programming," Bob was quick to emphasize. "It's a different animal entirely. The viewing environment is different, the dwell times are different, the goals and relevancies are different. It takes an ad agency and production house that understands the medium, how to stay loyal to the brand, and deliver timely and effective content that works in these difficult and unique situations. Experience does matter. This is a new expertise. Not everyone 'gets it'."
